You Pick the Year’s Best Albums

I want you to pick the best albums of 2009. Feel free to send in as many (or as few) picks that you’d like. Anything music-related that has been released (or will be released in 2009). Doesn’t matter if it’s a full-length album, an EP, or even a movie soundtrack. The poll will close on December 31, and I’ll spend the first week of 2010 counting the votes. I won’t be participating in this one, but you can continue to see my list of the year’s best on the blog.

If you’re not quite sure what albums have been released this year, the internet is full of places that keep lists of this stuff. Some places you can browse yearly release lists are here, here or here. All you have to do is send your pics to either nate@brokenmic.com or naterosing@yahoo.com. You don’t necessarily have to rank them, but if you’d like go ahead. The way it’ll work is, every album selected gets a vote. Whatever gets more votes, the higher rank it will have on the list. Pretty self explanatory.

Also, because this is a Cincinnati-based music blog, I’ll be making a seperate list for local bands who’ve released albums this year. So if you’re sending in any Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky picks, make sure you mark them. I hope to hear from everyone!
