More announcements from the world of Bonnaroo today. After the success of last year’s African music themed tent, 2010 will see the addition of “Latino Alternativo”, featuring some of the most exciting acts in Latin music including tent headliners, Ozomatli, who are multiple Roo vets. Also on the bill for the Latin-themed tent are Los Amigos Invisibles, The Nortec Collective presenting Bostich and Fussible, Aterciopelados, The Mexican Institute of Sound and Bomba Estereo. Members of each of the groups will serve as guest DJ’s throughout the day, bringing a non-stop musical experience at Bonnaroo 2010. Special food vendors will also be on hand.
On another note, and as many have suspected, it’s been officially confirmed that Jay-Z will have a late night set on Saturday following the headlining performance of Stevie Wonder. Kings of Leon will be Friday night’s headliner, followed by a two-set late night performance from The Flaming Lips, who will be joined by Stardeath and White Dwarfs for their rendition of Pink Floyd’s Darkside of the Moon album. What stage the Lips shows will take place on has yet to be determined, although many are suspecting the 30,000 capacity Which Stage. The Dave Matthews Band will close out the festival on Sunday evening.
