It’s just about time for the annual Appalachian Festival at Coney Island. The 41st installment of the festival demonstrates what life was like in the Appalachian Mountains more than 150 years ago, and features everything from live music, storytellers and dancers, to arts, crafts and food vendors. The festival runs Friday through Sunday, and tickets range from $2-8.
Some of the bands performing this year include Katie Laur and Ma Crow, Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers, the Comet Bluegrass Allstars, the James Family, Brad Leftwich, Ginny Hawker and Tracy Schwarz, the Rabbit Hash String Band, Missy Werner and many, many more.
