Posted in Bonnaroo 2009
Jessica, Megan and Rebecca Lovell are from Calhoun, Georgia and have roots in acoustic, bluegrass and classical music. The sisters began taking classical violin and piano lessons with the local youth symphony, around the age of five.
They are known for both their strong, vocal harmonies and instrumental performances. At MerleFest 2006, Rebecca took home first place in the mandolin contest.
With only one studio album under their belt, 2005’s When Forever Rolls Around, The Lovell Sisters will be releasing the follow-up this spring. The touring band also includes Matt Wingate on acoustic guitar and Daniel Kimbro on upright bass.
Other Bands at Bonnaroo you may like:
Tift Merritt, Cherryholmes, The SteelDrivers
